One needs to be optimistic, espcially for being a leader, if you are not optimistic, you won't even try to solve the problem, won't even try to understand the problem, which is very dangerous, because this mindset stands in the way to 1) reveal the potential blindspot, 2) gaining new knowledge necessary to solving the problems, and 3) reveal the new changed conditions to existing problems. The optimists are more likely to be interested in the problem, try to dig into it and gain more knowledge to solve the problem.
